Get your every outdoor activity mapped. Turn your phone into a running, walking, biking, skiing or sailing trip computer. Choose from different cycling and hiking maps to plan and track your route. Take it outside as your personal fitness training assistant, interesting places diary (with photographs), background GPS logger or navigation aid where no roads are available for a classic navigation (forest, sea, mountains). Sports Maps will record your activity along with track parameters, including: distance, time, effective activity time excluding stops, average pace, average speed, current pace, current speed, maximum speed.

Track recording functions:

- offline mode - running in background for longer battery life (application can be switched off while recording continues and sound notifications are active)

- long tracking availability thanks to the configurable GPS update interval

- target pace monitoring with notifications (too high/too low)

- user-defined distance intervals with notifications

- POI approaching notifications

- automatic detecting of stops/restarts

- manual track pausing

- simultaneous GPS recording and stored tracks viewing

Map functions:

- several map types that can be switched instantly

- maps cached for offline use

- track path display (current or historic paths)

- current position marking when no track is being recorded

- compass driven map rotation

- POIs creation enhanced with photos (you can take pictures directly from the application)

- address search

- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION--retrieving of the user location and satellite information,

- INTERNET--maps download, search service,

- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE--checking, if network is available

- READ_PHONE_STATE--detecting phone state to switch off alarms (POI alarm, distance alarm, pace alarm) when the phone is receiving a call or when the user is initiating a call

- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE--storing maps, POI photos, GPX tracks exported on an SD card

- VIBRATE--physical feedback for the track recording stop button

Sports Maps offers an integrated sound alarm system. The alarms are also active when you close the application keeping the track recording working in background. It allows you to slip the phone in your pocket and the alarms will notify you about track parameters; you do not have to take a look at the phone screen to be informed.

All the running, walking, (mountain)biking, hiking skiing or sailing tracks can be exported to the GPX format for viewing in Google Maps or other track visualizing applications. You can also share your achievements with friends.
